If warranty service is needed on your CBR-101, email support@genecafeusa.com, explain the issue, and include a copy of your original receipt. Once it is confirmed by Gene Cafe USA that the roaster was purchased within the warranty period, you will receive a prepaid UPS shipping label to get it to us for repair. Gene Cafe USA does not warranty parts that are user installed and does not take liability for any subsequent damage that may be caused by improperly installed parts. Also note that the warranty may be void if the roaster is not being used according to manufacturer instructions.

Many products are bench tested prior to shipping to ensure they are in perfect working condition before arriving at your location.

Gene Cafe vs Hot Top

Getting consistently great roasts with Gene Cafe. Easier to clean than my Hot Top and I will not have electronic controls burning out like with the Hot Top. Hot Top stopped working after 6 mo. They wanted a lot more money to send a new control panel that I would have had to try to install myself. If you have a bad design you should at least make it right without charging more money. Stand behind your product! I am very happy with my Gene Cafe. Kudos to the designer and everyone else involved in bringing this wonderful product to market!

replaced my air popper with a Gene Cafe coffee roaster

So far I have roasted 2 batches of coffee. I like the Gene Cafe. Because of the chaff collector and reduced amount of smoke I can do my roasting inside under my stove exhaust hood. The Gene Cafe is fairly quiet and the process is more consistent and easy to control.

Good and reliable supplier

Placed an order with the company on Friday evening with a request for delivery before the following Friday. It was delivered the following Wednesday. The shipment was complete and the equipment performed as advertised. I am very happy with the service of its online operator and customer service representative.

They need to ensure all their customer representatives are aware of their supply capabilites. One of the representatives told me standard order processing takes 4 working days which meant I was not going to get my stuff before my deadline. However her colleagues whom I engaged online and also through the phone after that conversation was very positive and reassuring.

Slow Roast

The Gene Cafe allows me to roast twice what the other roaster. It is slower & hard to heat the cracks. Having the temperature and timer allows me to be more consistent roast to roasts.

This thing is awesome and arrived SUPER quick!

Quick and easy with a little mess.

As advertised, it tamps consistently. Each tamping process is quicker and easier than manual tamping. I like the fact the process requires only one hand, as opposed to two in manual.
The only drawback is that the tamper surface gets dirty with the grind very quickly (because it does not 'twist" as in manual). After 3 or 4 tamps we have to clean it with a rug or a brush, leaving the coffee grind around the device.
Overall, we are happy with the purchase, and my overworked wrist with a tendonitis thanks a lot. I know it is an expensive investment, but loss of my hand will cost a lot more.

Well right at one year ago I got my Alex Leva and dearly love it .. But today after right at one year of use it has stopped working... You flick the on switch and nothing , the PID does not light up but the on/off switch lights up sometimes but not always.. Other than the light on the on/off switch the machine seems dead... I do hope this is not a big deal after just a year of use... Up until this point I would give my Alex Leva a five star rating , but now I may have to revise my review... We shall see.
