Warranty: One-year parts and labor provided by this website and our distribution partner(s).

When you work with Majesty Coffee, rest assured that you’re getting the best prices, the best warranty, and the best bonus packages.

    Common Questions and Answers

Q: What is passive pre-infusion and why does it matter?

A: During the initial phase of extraction known as pre-infusion (on machines that feature it), the coffee bed will become fully saturated before full brew pressure is achieved. This settles the coffee and ensures that all particles are evenly reached by the water, creating a more well-rounded flavor.

Essentially, passive pre-infusion refers to the fact that you do not need to manually control this stage of extraction.

And since you can program the passive pre-infusion in the S1 Vivaldi II for different lengths of time, you have more control than in a passive pre-infusion system like the one that comes with an E-61 group. Meanwhile, you retain the simplicity and ease of the passive system.

Q: What does a manometer do on the Vivaldi ii?

A: A manometer shows you a pressure measurement. In the case of the S1 Vivaldi II, the dual manometer displays the boiler pressure as well as the pressure built while the pump is active during brewing.

By reading the boiler pressure gauge, you’ll have a clearer understanding of when you can use the machine, as in when you can brew espresso and steam milk. You’re looking for the right pressure reading.

The group pressure gauge guides you toward the right brew ratio. So when you’re pulling a shot and the pressure is not building correctly, you know that it’s time to adjust an element of your brew ratio, such as how much coffee you’re using.

Q: Why is the offset differential important?

A: Typically, there is a difference between the boiler temperature readings an espresso machine is producing and the actual temperature of the water coming out of the group. This is because there are natural temperature differences between the water sitting in the boiler and the water that has traveled to the group.

Differences shouldn’t be vast, but even slight variations can change your espresso results. As such, if you’re serious about espresso, you may want to get out a temperature reader to test the group water on any espresso machine.

The S1 Vivaldi II solves the problem by letting you adjust the LED temperature setting so that it matches the group temperature—not the boiler temperature. This way, you’ll know exactly what temperature you’re extracting espresso at.

In-House Testing & Manufacturing Our espresso machines and grinders are high quality, specialty equipment. They are manufactured mainly in Italy, Spain, and Germany (for Mahlkonig grinders).

Some hand crafted machines may have slight imperfections from manually hammering the raw materials.

Many products are bench tested prior to shipping to ensure they are in perfect working condition before arriving at your location.

Therefore, some coffee grinds and remnants of water may be visible upon receiving the machine. This does not indicate the machine is used. We only ship brand new machines unless we state otherwise.

Any open box or used equipment will be specially and clearly marked on the individual product page.

      Great after 2 years

First of all, if you get this machine, getting it filtered and plumbed is majorly important. If you do that, this is a fantastic machine

After 2 years, we've had no problems and we give it quite a bit of use.

This thing is awesome and arrived SUPER quick!

Quick and easy with a little mess.

As advertised, it tamps consistently. Each tamping process is quicker and easier than manual tamping. I like the fact the process requires only one hand, as opposed to two in manual.
The only drawback is that the tamper surface gets dirty with the grind very quickly (because it does not 'twist" as in manual). After 3 or 4 tamps we have to clean it with a rug or a brush, leaving the coffee grind around the device.
Overall, we are happy with the purchase, and my overworked wrist with a tendonitis thanks a lot. I know it is an expensive investment, but loss of my hand will cost a lot more.

      Izzo Alex Leva

Well right at one year ago I got my Alex Leva and dearly love it .. But today after right at one year of use it has stopped working... You flick the on switch and nothing , the PID does not light up but the on/off switch lights up sometimes but not always.. Other than the light on the on/off switch the machine seems dead... I do hope this is not a big deal after just a year of use... Up until this point I would give my Alex Leva a five star rating , but now I may have to revise my review... We shall see.
