In the age of super automatic machine where every aspect is electronically controlled and making an espresso is as simple as pushing one button, a La Pavoni lever machine brings the user back into control. Learning to prepare an excellent espresso on a La Pavoni takes some work and practice but when it finally happens not only is the espresso excellent but there is a feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction that cannot be replicated using an electronically controlled machine. Preparing a good cup on the La Pavoni is in many’s way similar to the Japanese tea ceremony; attention to every detail, the calm and quiet of the process, the pride in doing it right, and the joy of achieving an excellent cup. If you just want a quick, no mess, decent espresso an automatic or super automatic machine is fine, but if you want a hands on experience a La Pavoni is the way to go.
Messes up our day everyday!
Got the grinder dialed in, I was originally sent the massive cafe hopper. I pointed this out to Majesty and they took care of the rest. Now my Mini G fits under my cabinets and blends so well with my coffee station.
Everything has been smooth!! It does sometimes come out different amounts when it’s preset so that’s odd but not a big deal!
The machine is very complex and took some getting used to, but it makes some really good coffee. I have had some of the clips fall off on both sides of the machine. I have put them back on and they keep falling off. The machine seems pretty sturdy except when I lift the handle up, that might be from the washers that have fallen off. I think it's a good machine, but this is my first expensive espresso machine I've invested in, so I didn't know what to expect, especially with the lever.
