It is a very difficult grinder to set up because it uses a built-in scale to measure the weight, which makes it quite complicated and not very stable. To position the portafilter, you have to tighten it with an Allen key, and that does not work very well. Overall, I would not recommend it.
I've been an advocate of the Mythos Clima Pro as best espresso grinder for about 8 years. I was reluctant to get into the new Mythos line because how do you improve on perfection? But I took the chance and was pleased that it's still operates with all my favorite functions: the super smooth and easy grind dial, the clump free exit shoot, the small counter top footprint, and the ease of getting a very small amount of coffee to top off your dose. But the new features are quite nice as well, such as the gravimetric dosing. All in all, I feel like I'm using the exact same grinder with a few improvements.
Just set up the new coffee maker, finally a hot cup of coffee with no bitter after taste!! Glad we settled on Breville!!
Love the grinder.
Its powerful but it has suctions in the bottom and it still jumps and moves. Isnt 100% for individual bean dosage. Still working on getting to work well with it.
