Mavea Purity C300 Filter System Filter Head and Cartridge

Whether you are a home user, a cafe owner, or a pro barista, your beverages can be ruined and have an utterly bitter taste or odor due to extremely hard water and limescale. Worst yet, the water can quickly build up scale in your machine, resulting in high repair costs and wasted performance. Mavea coffee water filter systems are devoted to alleviating these problems.

The Mavea Purity C coffee water filter system is designed to reduce the carbonate hardness in drinking water, removing harmful deposits such as lead, copper, and chlorine. Mavea filter systems accomplish this by the use of Active Carbon and Ion Exchange softening.

Note: Mavea softeners use Hydrogen Ion exchange NOT Sodium Ion exchange!

Mavea Purity C water filter systems come standard with:

  • 1 Filter head
  • 1 Carbonate Hardness Testkit
  • 1 Filter Cartridge

The filter head on top of the system allows 100% of the water to be filtered through a 5-micron carbon filter, including bypass water. Your control of the water bypass ranges from 0% to 70% (water with low hardness). It has an easy to use locking system; a simple twist of the handles shuts off the water and enables you to remove and replace the filter cartridge.

Note: You need to change the filter cartridge a minimum of once a year.

The filter head with this system does not include fittings for plumbing. The head has 3/8" female BSPT.

Mavea Water Filters are NSF approved.
System tested and certified by NSF International agent NSF/ANSI standard 42 for the reduction of Chlorine and Odor.

This thing is awesome and arrived SUPER quick!

Quick and easy with a little mess.

As advertised, it tamps consistently. Each tamping process is quicker and easier than manual tamping. I like the fact the process requires only one hand, as opposed to two in manual.
The only drawback is that the tamper surface gets dirty with the grind very quickly (because it does not 'twist" as in manual). After 3 or 4 tamps we have to clean it with a rug or a brush, leaving the coffee grind around the device.
Overall, we are happy with the purchase, and my overworked wrist with a tendonitis thanks a lot. I know it is an expensive investment, but loss of my hand will cost a lot more.

Well right at one year ago I got my Alex Leva and dearly love it .. But today after right at one year of use it has stopped working... You flick the on switch and nothing , the PID does not light up but the on/off switch lights up sometimes but not always.. Other than the light on the on/off switch the machine seems dead... I do hope this is not a big deal after just a year of use... Up until this point I would give my Alex Leva a five star rating , but now I may have to revise my review... We shall see.
