Choosing the right espresso machine for your establishment isn’t an easy process. The last thing you need when choosing an Eversys model is choice fatigue.
That’s what we’re here for. The Eversys superautomatic espresso lineup is filled with subtle submodels to give you the most value for your dollar. We’ll break down the differences between each model and submodel so you can make a smart purchasing decision.
Not only that, we’ll also give you advice on the best locations to use each model in.
- The Eversys Enigma Traditional is generally larger, better suited to high volume environments with constant drink rotation. Several models allow multiple baristas to work on the same machine.
- The Enigma Classic is capable of high volume productivity, but generally skews smaller and toward medium production.
- We will cover all the submodels of the Enigma later in this guide.
Eversys Enigma Features (And What They’re Useful For)
The Eversys Enigma is part of the main line-up alongside the Cameo and Shotmaster. This line-up is further broken down into two types: the Enigma Classic and the Enigma Traditional.
The Eversys Enigma model offers an impressive slew of modern features and extra convenience. This superautomatic espresso machine line-up provides the following for your brewing pleasure:
The Handy eConnect System for Fast Updates
Your espresso machine should do more than make a nice cup of coffee. The Eversys Enigma line-up provides you the ability to record drink profiles and send a constant stream of technical issues to the manufacturer.
These features allow the business to continue refining their product to a razor’s edge. Likewise, you’ll get vital insight into your own productivity and how it can be improved down the line.
The eBarista Feature Puts All Workers on the Same Page
Whether your worker is a seasoned barista or just starting out, the Enigma is the great equalizer. The eBarista system ensures impeccable in cup quality by recording settings and allowing ongoing optimization.
The eClean Feature Speeds Up Maintenance
Espresso machines need to be cleaned regularly to keep them lasting long and producing great coffee. The Eversys Enigma provides an eClean feature that makes maintenance as simple as a button press.
Each machine is able to hold up to a month’s worth of easily dispensed cleaning tablets.
Smart Size For Several Business Settings
Are you worried your espresso machine won’t fit onto your counter? The Eversys Enigma is 56 centimeters wide, well-suited to smaller coffee bars and larger restaurants alike.
Easy, Breezy Touchpad
You don’t have to worry about long training hours for your new full-time baristas or part-time hotel workers. The Eversys Enigma is incredibly accessible, boasting an easy touchpad with clearly defined settings.
Eversys Enigma Classic vs Traditional (What’s the Difference?)
While the Eversys Enigma Classic and the Eversys Enigma Traditional have many of the same features, their main differences lie in size and productivity.
The Enigma Classic is smaller at 56 centimeters, while the Enigma Traditional is larger at 84 centimeters. As a result, the Enigma Classic is better suited to individual use and slightly smaller volumes of coffee. The Enigma Traditional is a beefier machine, allowing operation from two baristas at a time.
Not sure if you want the Classic or the Traditional? We’ll break down each individual model by its unique features.
Eversys Enigma Classic Submodel Breakdown
The majority of features in the Eversys line-up are extremely similar. No matter which machine you purchase, you’ll be enjoying state-of-the-art features and unparalleled efficiency.
Below is each Enigma Classic model defined by its primary differences.
This was the very first machine Eversys produced for the Classic line-up.
Similar to the E-Barista Classic, the E4ms/Classic is distinguished by its ability to produce tea and hot water at the same time. It also has an automatic heating and milk frothing module.
The E4m is virtually the same as the E-barista Classic, with the exception of the Vitrifigo FG20 2 Gallon Standalone Fridge.
This Enigma model can accommodate two baristas at a time, thanks to its dual portafilters, hot water spout, and dual steam wands.
It does not have the 1.5 Step module, nor does it possess cold milk or two milk differential. Lastly, it does not have the Vitrifigo FG20 2 Gallon Standalone Fridge.
This Enigma model has three hot water spouts, ideal for businesses that see a lot of drink variety. It also has two portafilters and two steam wands.
This submodel is equipped with the full range of features the Enigma line-up possesses.
The E6s has three crema nozzles and three times the adjustable Americano temperature.
This model does not have the 1.5 Step program, nor the cold milk or two milk differential. It also does not have the Vitrifigo FG20 2 Gallon Standalone Fridge.
Similar to the E6s, the E6m has three times the adjustable Americano temperature. Unlike the E6s, it comes with the 1.5 Step program, cold milk differential, and two milk differential.
The E2ct is one of the more straightforward submodels, lacking a lot of the bells and whistles of the previous entries on the list.
The E2ct does not have adjustable manual hot water temperature, steam wand with Everfoam, the 1.5 Step program, cold milk foam, two milk differential, or the Vitrifigo FG20 2 Gallon Standalone Fridge.
The E2s hovers between the E6m and the E2ct. Unlike the E2ct, it has adjustable hot water temperature and the steam wand with Everfoam.
Unlike the E6m, it doesn’t have the 1.5 Step program, cold milk foam, two milk differential, or the Vitrifigo FG20 2 Gallon Standalone Fridge.
Do you want all the core features rolled into one submodel? The E2m is your answer.
This submodel has all the bare minimum features listed above. If you want to go above and beyond with certain features (such as extra temperature control), consider a different submodel.
Enigma Traditional Submodel Breakdown
While the Enigma Classic is highly flexible, the Enigma Traditional might be more your size…literally! This beast of an espresso machine is ideal for large, high-volume environments that see constant activity.
Let’s take a look at the submodels feature by feature.
The E4s Barista-ST is the powerhouse of this line-up. This machine clocks in at 84 centimeters and is able to be used by two baristas simultaneously.
This machine is able to craft up to 350 drinks per hour. However, it does not come with the 1.5 Step Program, the cold milk or two milk types, or the Vitrifigo FG20 2 Gallon Standalone Fridge.
If you want your Enigma Traditional to have more features, consider the E4m ST. It has most of the features of the E4s Barista-ST, as well as the 1.5 Step Program, cold milk, and two milk type differential.
This model does not have the Vitrifigo FG20 2 Gallon Standalone Fridge.
The E4s-Barista ST x-wide has a slew of varied features. It has two steam wands with Everfoam, as well as two cup centering guides.
It does not have the 1.5 Step Program, cold milk foam, or two milk differential. This model does not have the Vitrifigo FG20 2 Gallon Standalone Fridge.
Many features are doubled in this extra wide submodel. The E4m ST x-wide has two steam wands with Everfoam, two 1.5 Step programs, two cold milk foams, and two milk type differential.
If you want a submodel with an additional fridge, you’re in luck. This model also comes with the Vitrifigo FG20 2 Gallon Standalone Fridge.
This submodel has three crema nozzles, three Americano adjustable temperatures, and three cup centering guides.
This model does not come with the 1.5 Step program, cold milk foam, or two milk differential. It also does not come with the Vitrifigo FG20 2 Gallon Standalone Fridge.
If you want all the standard features, the E6m ST is for you. This submodel comes with double features on the full line-up, with the exception of a few pieces.
The E6m ST has three crema nozzles and three adjustable Americano temperatures.
The E2ct ST is a more limited submodel, but this could be a good fit depending on your business model.
This submodel doesn’t come with adjustable hot water temperature, steam wand with Everfoam, 1.5 Step program, cold milk foam, or two milk differential. It also does not come with the Vitrifigo FG20 2 Gallon Standalone Fridge.
The E2s ST comes with most of the base features, with a few exceptions. This submodel doesn’t have the 1.5 Step, cold milk foam, or two milk differential.
It also does not come with the Vitrifigo FG20 2 Gallon Standalone Fridge.
Want the most straightforward purchase? The E2m ST has all the base features (yes, even the Vitrifigo FG20 2 Gallon Standalone Fridge).
While none of them are doubled or tripled like other submodels, this is a solid, all-around machine.
The Eversys Enigma is an impressive display of modern technology. We’re impressed with both the Classic and Traditional models.
The Enigma Classic is a little on the smaller side, focused on slightly smaller productivity and individual use. The Enigma Traditional is larger and is better suited for ongoing, dual productivity.
