The new generation of water boilers has landed. Capable of delivering 7.5 gallons per hour (up to 156 cups!), the Marco MIX PB3 and PB8 Over-Counter Boilers supply on-demand service for busy establishments with three programmable water temperatures and volumes at the push of a button. For artisan coffee shops, tea shops, bars, and restaurants, the PB3 and PB8 are instrumental in providing customer service that goes far beyond the ordinary.
Different tea types must be brewed at their own precise temperatures for the best results. That means you’re looking for a boiler that won’t burn the tea leaves and disrupt the delicate flavor profile of each varietal. That’s where Marco’s adjustable boiler comes in. You set the optimal temperature for three distinctive teas at one time, each guaranteed to pour at the exact volume you specify so that there is no underfilling or overfilling.
But these MIX Boilers are not just for tea—they’re perfect for Americanos, hot cocoa, and any beverage prepared with hot water.
The MIX PB3 and PB8 Boilers boast up to 70% more energy efficiency with vacuum-insulated tanks that maintain a constant temperature, allowing businesses to deliver the ultimate consistency. Coupled with incredibly quick programming and operation, the PB3 and PB8 are smart investments for high-volume cafes, bars, and restaurants.
How it Works
To dispense hot water, the user has three buttons to choose from on the unit. Each button correlates to a specific hot water profile with a programmed temperature and volume displayed on the digital screen.
Before dispensing hot water, set your container of choice under the hot water spout. Then push the button located below the profile you want to select on the digital screen. The PB3 and PB8 will then automatically fill the container to the appropriate volume.
Programming the PB3 and PB8 is simple. To access the programming menu, press the three buttons on the boiler at the same time.
Using the far-left button (the select button) to navigate the menu, select a temperature or volume setting and adjust it using the buttons to the right of the select button. The + button is used to increase temperature and volume settings and the - button is used to decrease settings.
To save your setting adjustments, press the select button. The machine will now deliver water at the desired temperatures and volumes.
You may also program a customized hot water volume to match a specific container. To use this function, navigate to a volume setting on the programming menu and increase the volume past the 600 ml point.
When you see the measurement change on the screen to a “set” function, press the select button. Then position your container under the hot water spout and hold down the button under the “disp” icon on the digital display, letting go when you have reached the desired water volume.
Push the select button again to save your custom water volume and wait for the machine to process your setting before removing the container from under the hot water spout.
The MIX Boiler comes in two sizes. The MIX PB3 configuration generates a 0.8-gallon immediate hot water draw-off while the MIX PB8 supplies a 2.1-gallon immediate draw-off.
If you've ever owned a product from the 1970s or older, you know what it means to own something that is solidly built. The Super Jolly V Up is SOLID. It performs, and has my faith that it will continue to perform for the next decade. Its nice to look at, and instills trust that my business is covered when it comes to a solidly built, grinder that won't fail. Plus, with a name like Super Jolly.... how can you not want this grinder!
Once I had the crane lift it into place things went smoothly. Caution: this grinder is very heavy. Other than that - it's pretty much perfect. No clumps, no mess, no hands. Weight is determined by grinding time; single, double, and manual settings. Build quality is next level. Powerful, quiet, fast, and heavy.
I went from a Breville Barista Express to this dual boiler beauty and couldn't be happier with this purchase. Cost a pretty penny, but every espresso made makes me reassured about my purchase. Shipping took a few days longer than normal, but assumed that was due to the open box.
Steams milk incredibly quick, and my lattes taste even better! Hope this is my last espresso machine purchase since I don't think my wallet can take another hit like this.
I've had my Quick Mill Silvano machine for 3 years now. I purchased it after 2 Breville consumer machines crapped out after 2 years... one stopped making steam, the other leaked. And neither made great tasting coffee or substantial crema. So I took the plunge and purchased this machine and I'm so happy I did. What I love about it: the PID display of boiler temp and brew time. The simplicity of the controls. The fact that I can froth at the same time as pulling shots. The quality of the parts and longevity of the machine. The ease of cleaning. Finally, and most importantly, the great taste of the espresso I get every morning from the Silvano.
This is my first espresso machine. It came promptly as ordered, and it looks great. So far I am having some issues with how long it takes to produce the espresso, and I understand that the grind size, amount of grind, and how tightly it is tamped can affect how the machine performs. I have tried various combinations of grind size, amount, etc., and I find the machine takes 5 minutes to produce a shot, and that the espresso comes out in drops, not as a stream. This may be due to my inexperience in using the machine, but until I get feedback from Majesty coffee, I can only rate the machine 3 stars.
