I gave been wanting a RED Gene Cafe roaster for many years. I finally did it !! And I am very impressed with it. From the color, design, and ease of learning how to operate...it is incredible. I am certainly not a pro and I think I have alot of learning about roasting in the future. I am up to experimenting with different roasting ideas I have researched online. The "being creative" aspect is very inviting. I also want to thank Majesty Coffee for helping me with this purchase. They kept me informed along the way. It was back ordered at the time, so there was a wait. But one worth enduring !!! What a cool way to start the new year with an fullfilling adventure. I can already think of some gift ideas for next Christmas. I mean who doesn't like homemade gifts that taste great ???

Does what it's supposed to do. Pain to use, constantly listening for a beep upon which the roaster turns off unless you hit the timer button.

VERY slow temperature ramp. Even after a full preheat the temp drops significantly and takes more than 5 minutes into the roast to get up to 450 F. For the price this home roaster has a pretty weak heating element. I would suggest a behmor over the Gene Café. If you do not do a full power pre-heat you will end up with a baked coffee instead of a roasted coffee.

This may be looked at by some as a little overkill for a hobby and not quite good enough for a small cafe, but for me (hobby) it was the next best and last upgrade. I love it. Very nice evenly roasted batches and the 1/2 pound per roast really add so much value for me. I have tried different beans with different roasts and each one comes out perfect.

It was installed on Friday May 8. This machine is amazing. We are still make adjustments but we are so happy with it. We have an older model next to our new machine and they are both being used and we love them. The Instalation was so good. We are very pleased.
I couldn’t wait to get the grinder and I LOVE it!! I will say the hardest part is dialing and figuring out how to grind fine espresso, that part took a while but once you get it down it’s amazing.

This machine works perfectly. The Majesty price was lower than other sellers. The machine was shipped quickly and arrived a few days later. It looks great and performs as advertised!
This machine was quite a jump from my starter Bambino. I had always liked the look of E61 machines but the prices and size of these machines meant I wouldn't be able to fit a rocket or Lelit dual boiler machine. However, eventually I found this Carola Evo. I loved the smaller size and since I use a self frothing jug the omission of a steam wand meant this was a perfect option for me. So far its been a learning experience. The machine is definitely more capable than my right now but I've started dialing in some of my favorite coffees. I can't recommend this enough for those who either have an alternative way to foam milk or those who only want a high quality shot of espresso. The only thing I would want to change is adding a flow control kit to dabble in longer pre-infusion times and pressure profiling reciples. As well as an easier way to fill it while under shelves or a counter. Otherwise this machine definitely lives up to my expectations.
The machine is quick for the small restaurant/ cafe set up which coffee is not the main beverage to serve, but water tank capacity considers small and the setting only allows you to do one portion at a time, you need to press again for double.
