Key Features and What They Mean
LCD Display
A high-resolution LCD screen gives users instant access to machine functions with clear guidance. Users can program dosages, pre-infusion, boiler pressure, and energy settings with no fuss.
Soft Infusion System
There’s no easier way to make rich espresso with perfect crema than with the soft infusion system. It even counteracts poor tamping practices, giving you great results every time.
Volumetric Dosing Buttons
To pull a shot, just press one of the volumetric buttons and the machine will dispense the correct volume. Fully programmable, the volumetric buttons ensure uniformity in the quality of your product and can even increase the production pace.
Manual Dosing Controls
To customize an espresso, use the manual dosing buttons. They’ll allow you to accommodate customer requests on the fly.
Raised Group Heads
If you offer a variety of cup sizes, the raised group heads on the Aurelia Wave Volumetric are a big help. Instead of having to spend time brewing into shot glasses and moving the espresso into tall cups, baristas brew directly into taller cups and keep the coffee line moving.
Reverse Mirror
The backplate doubles as a mirror and shows baristas hard-to-see angles of the espresso. They can monitor each espresso while they work.
Cool Touch Wands
Staying cool to the touch, these steam wands won’t burn arms and hands like traditional types. Because they don’t encourage milk residues to build up, cleaning them isn’t as time-consuming.
Push Pull Steam
Turning steam valves can strain the wrists after some time on the espresso machine. The push-pull levers are simply tapped into the on and off positions to steam milk.
Surface LEDs
Poor lighting isn’t ideal for this craft. The LED lights on the Aurelia Wave Volumetric illuminate all the details of your baristas’ work to deliver better quality to your customers.
Bar Pump Gauge
Seeing the pressure built by the pump during extraction provides vital information to baristas about their process, helping them work toward excellence in every espresso.
Automated Cleanings
Cleaning the machine at the end of the day is no longer a long, drawn-out process with automated cleanings. Pick the group head you need cleaned and the machine takes care of it.
Power Saving Options
The Aurelia Wave Volumetric has a small environmental footprint in comparison to other espresso machine models, something in high demand in today’s market.
Water Level Indicator
The water level indicator provides a convenient way to check the boiler water levels anytime so that you know that everything is working as it should.
Machine Options
Smart Wands
The Nuova Simonelli Aurelia Wave Volumetric is compatible with a variety of Smart Wands to help you create velvety microfoam more easily.
Auto-Steam Wand
If you opt for the Auto-Steam Wand, you’ll have automated milk steaming at the touch of a button.
Just position the wand in the milk and the Auto-Steam Wand will do the rest, giving the user the opportunity to multitask.
EasyCream Wand
The EasyCream Wand lets baristas set the temperature and density of the rich microfoam it creates.
This wand is designed to inject an optimal balance of steam and air into the milk before emitting a fine vapor and circulating the milk with specially designed steam holes to generate gorgeous results.
The EasyCream Wand shuts off when the correct milk temperature has been reached.
Gooseneck Wand
Similar to the Auto-Steam and EasyCream Wands, this Smart Wand also froths milk for the barista on its own.
The Gooseneck Wand reads the temperature of the milk as the barista guides the pitcher to texture the milk. It will stop automatically as soon as it reads the right temperature.

Warranty and Water

The installation of a water softener is mandatory for all users that don't meet the required water specifications, failure to do so will void your warranty. It is recommended to always add a water filter to your order if you do not have one already.
Q: What is the soft infusion system in the Aurelia Wave Volumetric?
A: Essentially, soft infusion is what Nuova Simonelli calls pre-infusion in its espresso machines.
If you’re unfamiliar with pre-infusion, it’s a method of getting more nuanced flavor from the coffee by gently immersing the coffee bed in water during an initial extraction stage.
When you make espresso in the Aurelia Wave Volumetric, the machine releases pressure-free water into the coffee bed for a period of time before the water is pushed through at full pressure.
Aside from reducing the effect of tamping issues by settling the coffee, soft infusion prevents channeling and allows all of the delicate flavors to be drawn out of the coffee in a balanced way.
With soft infusion, you’ll always get a well-developed espresso flavor.
Q: What is the difference between volumetric and manual dosing in the Aurelia Wave Volumetric?
A: The biggest difference between the volumetric and manual buttons on the Aurelia Wave Volumetric is automation.
The volumetric buttons are designed to let the user press them once to get a shot of espresso. The machine is programmed to dispense the correct measurements.
If the user chooses the manual button, the machine won’t stop the extraction cycle on its own. The user pushes the button again at the appropriate time.
While volumetric dosing presents the advantage of a more streamlined approach to extraction, manual dosing allows the user to create an espresso shot that fits exact specifications on the spot, without programming.
If you want to streamline espresso production and promote more consistency, volumetric dosing is a great way to accomplish this. But if your customers ask for a specific type of espresso shot like a ristretto or long shot, the manual dosing buttons are helpful.
Q: How do I use the bar pump gauge on the Aurelia Wave Volumetric to improve my espresso results?
A: Monitoring a shot isn’t just about seeing it pour from the group head. You can combine this with checking the bar pump gauge to get more information about what’s happening in the machine.
Generally, a good espresso shot extracting correctly will reach nine bars of pressure. If your machine isn’t getting to this point, it’s typically a good indication that you need to change your brew ratio.
This is as simple as adding more or less coffee to your dose. Try this the next time you pull a shot and see if the pressure reading changes.
Some other issues could be your grind setting or tamping pressure. A grind fineness that's too coarse or fine or applying too much or too little pressure when you tamp can affect how successful extraction is.
In short, the bar pump gauge can guide you toward better practices by showing you the results of your methods.

Mazzer Super Jolly V Up is V-awesome!!
If you've ever owned a product from the 1970s or older, you know what it means to own something that is solidly built. The Super Jolly V Up is SOLID. It performs, and has my faith that it will continue to perform for the next decade. Its nice to look at, and instills trust that my business is covered when it comes to a solidly built, grinder that won't fail. Plus, with a name like Super Jolly.... how can you not want this grinder!
Once I had the crane lift it into place things went smoothly. Caution: this grinder is very heavy. Other than that - it's pretty much perfect. No clumps, no mess, no hands. Weight is determined by grinding time; single, double, and manual settings. Build quality is next level. Powerful, quiet, fast, and heavy.
I went from a Breville Barista Express to this dual boiler beauty and couldn't be happier with this purchase. Cost a pretty penny, but every espresso made makes me reassured about my purchase. Shipping took a few days longer than normal, but assumed that was due to the open box.
Steams milk incredibly quick, and my lattes taste even better! Hope this is my last espresso machine purchase since I don't think my wallet can take another hit like this.
I've had my Quick Mill Silvano machine for 3 years now. I purchased it after 2 Breville consumer machines crapped out after 2 years... one stopped making steam, the other leaked. And neither made great tasting coffee or substantial crema. So I took the plunge and purchased this machine and I'm so happy I did. What I love about it: the PID display of boiler temp and brew time. The simplicity of the controls. The fact that I can froth at the same time as pulling shots. The quality of the parts and longevity of the machine. The ease of cleaning. Finally, and most importantly, the great taste of the espresso I get every morning from the Silvano.
This is my first espresso machine. It came promptly as ordered, and it looks great. So far I am having some issues with how long it takes to produce the espresso, and I understand that the grind size, amount of grind, and how tightly it is tamped can affect how the machine performs. I have tried various combinations of grind size, amount, etc., and I find the machine takes 5 minutes to produce a shot, and that the espresso comes out in drops, not as a stream. This may be due to my inexperience in using the machine, but until I get feedback from Majesty coffee, I can only rate the machine 3 stars.
