    Home Espresso use

I love this grinder. Built like a tank, and unlike many other grinders - NO static build-up.
Beautiful consistent grind quality, great at extracting the most flavor and a and aroma possible.

    Fast, fluffy doses

I got this yesterday for use in a home setting. Took around a pound of beans to adjust the grinder and machine in. While not a professional I am sure with time it will get even better.
As it doses, I'm not seeing any spillage. Fast accurate dose. Probably took only a few minutes total from the first cut of the box to running the machine. Love the machine and would buy it again

    Pretty D*mned Good

Certainly quiet, and grind consistency is excellent. I do not experience the mohawk the other reviewer mentions, though I can see how that might happen with the flat spout.

I dinged a star because twice I've had the motor jam. Essentially something happens where some beans get stuck and the motor doesn't have quite enough torque to start. That's fairly startling when you push the button and nothing happens but the countdown timer just goes, and you just dropped a bunch of coin on this grinder. The "solve" of emptying the grinder and then refilling it isn't a treat either. But it's only happened twice in several months, so I thought it merited a single star decrease only.

My two other comparisons are the Baratza Forte and the Mahlkonig E65GBW. This crushes the Baratza for d*mn sure but the Mahkonig is definitely better. That also adds a $k or more so probably not fair.

Upgraded to the Ceado and I am very happy. It is a quiet quiet powerhouse with the very accurate and consistent grind. God shots galore!

    Just Ok

    Pros:
    Fast
    Fluffy grind
    Quiet
Solid build, top fit and finish
    Precise dosing
    Low retention

    Cons
Stalls on lighter roasts due to undersized motor.
Creates a mowhawk shaped uneven extraction if you do not WDT (whisk) the grounds.

With SSP burrs my Eureka Olympus makes better espresso all around. I thought with the money invested and good reviews this would be the last grinder purchase of my life. I am hoping Majesty will be able to get me setup with an upgrade like the Mahlkonig peak or the Compak E8/F8 models. Stalling on lighter roasts is a deal breaker for me. For someone who uses standard darker roasts and a spouted non naked portafilter this grinder could work fine.
