Rocket Espresso's answer for cafés the world-over, the R9 automatic espresso machine offers a design dedicated for individual control of each brew group. Each group head has its own 1.9-liter brew boiler, variable temperature PID, shot timer, and automatic control cluster.
Supporting this granular system is a massive steam boiler equipped with sensitive pressure transducers that help reduce recovery times for your busiest mornings. Of course, the service-ready design of the internals come wrapped in Rocket Espresso's sturdy polished steel casing.
Features
Dedicated Boilers- individual brew boilers for each group and a large quick-recovery steam boiler offer consistent temperatures all day long.
Executive Electronics- PID temperature control for each boiler, high-tech transducer pressure sensors and automatic shot timers make the R9 easy to use for busy baristas.
Cooltouch Steam Wands- No more burnt fingers! These steam wands can be grabbed without worry even under high use.
Stainless Steel Elegance- The R9 features a high quality polished stainless steel body that defines Rocket Espresso.
Barista Basics- Tall feet and a low control stance put the R9 control cluster within easy reach. No-burn steam wands are easy to clean and save precious minutes when it counts.
PROS
Consistency- Consistency is more than a good drink. Consistency is thesamedrink at any time of day and after any number of preceding shots before it. Dedicated brew boilers and responsive pressure sensors go a long way in making the R9 an ideal machine for professional coffeeshops.
Technology Where it Counts- And simplicity everywhere else. Variable temperatures at each brew boiler let you find the right setting for different roasts and blends. Clean, simple automatic controls are easy to find and offer solid travel with each button press; steam levers are big and solid. And that is it. There's no tempting pressure profiling, no steam modes and no helping-hand frothing wands.
Fresh and Clean- Almost demure next to competitor's bright cases and daring shapes, the R9 offers unmarred steel and unassuming lines. You'll find it a good fit with any layout and every cafe theme.
CONS
Furniture- Black cup warmer mats and steam handle grips don't offer the same fit and finish as the stainless steel case.
The Price of Polish- Fingerprint magnet is putting it lightly, you'll be polishing the R9's body. A lot.

If you've ever owned a product from the 1970s or older, you know what it means to own something that is solidly built. The Super Jolly V Up is SOLID. It performs, and has my faith that it will continue to perform for the next decade. Its nice to look at, and instills trust that my business is covered when it comes to a solidly built, grinder that won't fail. Plus, with a name like Super Jolly.... how can you not want this grinder!
Once I had the crane lift it into place things went smoothly. Caution: this grinder is very heavy. Other than that - it's pretty much perfect. No clumps, no mess, no hands. Weight is determined by grinding time; single, double, and manual settings. Build quality is next level. Powerful, quiet, fast, and heavy.
I went from a Breville Barista Express to this dual boiler beauty and couldn't be happier with this purchase. Cost a pretty penny, but every espresso made makes me reassured about my purchase. Shipping took a few days longer than normal, but assumed that was due to the open box.
Steams milk incredibly quick, and my lattes taste even better! Hope this is my last espresso machine purchase since I don't think my wallet can take another hit like this.
I've had my Quick Mill Silvano machine for 3 years now. I purchased it after 2 Breville consumer machines crapped out after 2 years... one stopped making steam, the other leaked. And neither made great tasting coffee or substantial crema. So I took the plunge and purchased this machine and I'm so happy I did. What I love about it: the PID display of boiler temp and brew time. The simplicity of the controls. The fact that I can froth at the same time as pulling shots. The quality of the parts and longevity of the machine. The ease of cleaning. Finally, and most importantly, the great taste of the espresso I get every morning from the Silvano.
This is my first espresso machine. It came promptly as ordered, and it looks great. So far I am having some issues with how long it takes to produce the espresso, and I understand that the grind size, amount of grind, and how tightly it is tamped can affect how the machine performs. I have tried various combinations of grind size, amount, etc., and I find the machine takes 5 minutes to produce a shot, and that the espresso comes out in drops, not as a stream. This may be due to my inexperience in using the machine, but until I get feedback from Majesty coffee, I can only rate the machine 3 stars.
