Description
La Cimbali Casa Espresso Machine DT1-JUNIOR
When a customer would call us and ask, "What machine would you recommend that will last 20 years or more, with commercial build quality, and will still look good in our kitchen?" The Junior DT1 Cimbali espresso machine was the machine we would recommend hands down. The Junior DT1 has a beautiful stainless outer shell that looks great on black marble, blends in with other stainless steel appliances, and fits under standard cabinet heights of 17 3/4". The Junior DT1 espresso machine has a rotary pump, is very quiet, has programmable volumetric dosing, must be plumbed in, runs on a 15 amp 110 volt circuit, and has the ability to direct drain into the drip tray or not.
Many new features have been added to this machine, including the ability of passive pre-infusion, dual gauges, and a new three hole steam tip with smaller holes which makes it simple to produce great micro foam even when doing small quantities of milk.
It is very simple to activate pre-infusion: hold any button on the display for 2 seconds and it goes into pre-infusion mode when you make that drink. Press and release any button and it makes the shot without pre-infusion.
* All of the VST insert baskets will work in the Cimbali portafilters, except the 22 gram *

I decided on this commercial-style machine as the next step in my barista journey. The power and volume of the steam produced was beyond my expectations. After using the machine for around 2 weeks, I feel like I have a good understanding on how to use it, but I feel like I'm still learning subtle things a month or two in. So far so good and I highly recommend the Jr Casa.

Love it after a year
After a year of use still loving this machine. Having operated a wide range of commercial machines I can say that this is top notch.

Powerful, consistent and beautiful machine!
It took me a little to work through all the settings to get it dialed in the way I want, but I really love the machine. Very powerful/fast steam, and consistent espresso shots - like a professional machine. Like previous response, it would be nice if they could put the group cleaning function at top of menu, but I imagine when enough folks complain there will be a software update to accommodate this. Oh, and it looks beautiful, too!
We purchased this machine in 2019 for home use and it’s been great, we’ve had no problems with it, saves me from packing up my kids and driving into town to purchase coffee which I was doing 2x a day before. This machine is a life saver especially with covid ruining everything. I don’t know what I’d do w/o this machine looking back. My husband makes his 6shot espresso to take to work every am and I make two 6shot espressos a day then he makes another one or two 4 shot espressos when he get home from work. Perfect machine for our needs.
Coming from an entry-level machine, the Bianca V2 is a revelation. Everything about it is luxurious, beautiful, and well built. Espresso tastes amazing and is a joy to produce. Flow profiling works very well and is completely intuitive. Steam was my biggest gripe on my former machine and there is zero issue in this area with the Bianca: the arm is cool to the touch, glides around at any angle, and produces steam reminiscent of a rocket engine. Silky textured milk is easy to make with so much power at your disposal. The one downside I've had so far is that setup was not intuitive and the help guide was both hidden at the back or the manual and filled with unhelpful pictograms. Assembly is logical but I wanted to be careful and meticulous on such a beautiful machine so it took about twice as long as I expected. The machine is also very heavy, which is good for thermal stability, but means that you need a helper for the initial assembly.
I wanted the stainless-steel panels for the Prima E1 and placed the order back in February. It took a little while, but I received the Prima E1 on May 3rd. Throughout the shipment from Italy to the US arrival, I received prompt updates from Majestic Coffee on the approximate delivery date. I fell in awe upon receiving the Prima E1 with all stainless-steel panels. The beautiful machine was perfectly packaged and delivered in a white glove style. I recommend Majestic Coffee for its professionalism and flow of information.
This may be looked at by some as a little overkill for a hobby and not quite good enough for a small cafe, but for me (hobby) it was the next best and last upgrade. I love it. Very nice evenly roasted batches and the 1/2 pound per roast really add so much value for me. I have tried different beans with different roasts and each one comes out perfect.
We're still working out all of the parameters to pull a perfect shot, but this thing is already making some of the best-tasting espresso I've ever had. Believe the hype! I also love the (mechanical) simplicity of it. It will definitely last a lifetime.
